This project was a kitchen remodel and expansion.  Knowing they wanted to take the existing laundry room and open it up to the kitchen, the homeowner’s had a good idea of their desired layout and design.  Simple, clean lines and wood cabinets to help pull in their family room fireplace to the kitchen, were a few of the details that lead the direction of this project.

The design process began with the intention to relocate the existing laundry room.  This allowed for that space to open up into the existing kitchen, giving the opportunity to relocate the cook top and give the homeowners double wall ovens.  In opening up the entry into the homeowner’s existing family room, an inviting sight line was created to the stone fireplace.  This small detail added a nice background for rich stained cabinetry, and warm brown undertones.   Using a slab door with an eased edge detail, as well as simplified crown molding, produced a modest modern touch, without overwhelming the traditional feel of the home.  Little strategic details like open shelving and frosted glass brings a nice charm to the finished space.

What We Did

Designed & Built Kitchen Remodel

Meyer Brothers and Sons is a top notch company that I'm glad did the work on our kitchen. Everything from start to finish was handled in an incredibly professional manner. Jerry, the project manager for our job was on site most of the time and when a new worker came to the house (electrician, plumber, etc) he made sure to be there to make introductions and verify the work needing done. Every person that was at our house (8-10 if memory serves) was professional and friendly. Communication with Jerry and Rick was great during the whole process. I really appreciated the fact that they cleaned up every day before leaving. I will absolutely hire them again for our next project.
