The Beginning

08/01/1978

After five years of apprenticeship with two different companies, brothers Dick & Joe took what money, dreams and tools they had and started a company – Meyer Brothers Carpenters.

05/01/1983

After graduating from college, Jerry joined the company of his two brothers and the brotherly trio started to slowly grow, adding employees, trucks, and tools over the years.

Longest non-family employee

07/01/1993

Jarl was one of the first non-family members to join the team and after 31 years with the company he has since retired.

The second beginning - the addition of son

06/01/1995

After graduating from high school, Brian (Dick's son, front left) started full-time with Meyer Brothers and officially changed the name to Meyer Brothers and Sons, fulfilling their life-long dream to become a multi-generational family business.

After graduating from high school, Joey (Joe's son) started full-time with Meyer Brothers, and the two original brothers now each had a son in the family business.

Two additional sons join - design services added

08/01/2008

In 2008, both Rick (Dick's son) & Luke (Joe's son) joined the family business. Rick moved back to town after graduating from college with a degree in architecture, and gained experience as an intern architect in Portland, Oregon, to officially advance the company to a design build firm.

Transfer of ownership

06/01/2019

After 41 years of leading & owning the business, ownership officially changed hands from Dick & Joe to Rick, Joey & Jeremy. Jeremy graduated with Rick with a degree in architecture, and in 2013 he moved to Ohio from Seattle, bringing his vast array of skills and experience to our ownership team.

From the humble beginnings of two young carpenters with a dream, today Meyer Brothers and Sons has become a 25-person, multi-disciplinary firm comprised of four sons, a neph-son, a brother-in-law, cousins, friends and neighbors. With such strong familial roots, we treat all of our employees and clients as family, regardless of last name.

Meet Our Team

Dick Meyer

Founder

Dick founded the company in 1978 with his brother Joe. He graduated from Finneytown High School and has been in the construction industry since then. Dick started out as a carpenter, then slowly grew into a general contractor as the business grew in number and diversity of projects. He is married and has 4 grown children (sons Brian & Rick are in the business) and 8 grandchildren (and counting). *click anywhere to exit

Joe Meyer

Founder

Joe founded the company in 1978 with his brother Dick. He graduated from Finneytown High School and has been in the construction industry since then. Joe started out as a carpenter, then slowly grew into a general contractor as the business grew in number and diversity of projects. He is married and has 3 grown children (sons Joey & Luke are in the business, as well as his neph-son Drew) and he has 8 grandchildren (and counting).

Jerry Meyer

One of the original founders

Jerry. He's loud, he's fun, he's Jerry!
He graduated from Roger Bacon High School then went onto Seminary and finished up at UC with a degree in Philosophy. Then he joined his brothers in the family business. He's married and has 3 grown children, 2 step children and 5 grandchildren.

Felicia Tully

Book keeper

Felicia takes care of all things accounting here at Meyer Brothers and Sons. Being from Jersey, she does a great job of keeping up with the boys. She lives next to Joe and across the street from Joey, Luke & Drew. She has 2 children and 2 grandchild.

Rick Meyer

Architect, Business Manager

Rick has been in the business since he was a kid, working with his uncles and cousins on the jobs sites. After graduating Badin high school he went to Ball State University with Jeremy to study architecture. After graduating college with a degree in Architecture and Environmental Design he moved to Oregon to pursue his soon-to-be wife. After additional travels, he landed back in Ohio in 2008, got his professional architectural license, and helped to transform the business from only remodeling to design | build | remodel. He married that Oregon girl and they now have 3 boys, Asher, Jude & Isaac.

Joey Meyer

Shop Manager

Joey is our craftsman and master all things wood shop. He graduated from Finneytown High School and put his skills to work straight away. He helped develop and grow the finer cabinetry portion of our company, allowing us to offer a fully custom cabinet line.

Jeremy Culver

General Manager, Project Designer

Jeremy is originally from Wabash, In and after graduating high school there he went to architecture school at Ball State University with Rick. He moved to Seattle with his wife after college where he worked in the residential remodeling scene. He moved to Cincinnati in 2013 to join the team, helping to bolster the design side of the business. He is married and has 3 children. He loves to run and he loves snow (however not necessarily at the same time).

Cari Bolte

Senior Kitchen Designer

Cari graduated from Colerain high school, then attended Antonelli College where she received her associates in interior design. She has many years of experience in the Cincinnati residential design & cabinetry world. She works closely with our design team & clients to ensure all the details of every cabinetry package are beautiful & accurate. She is a wife and mom of 2: Bryson & Rachel.

Brian Meyer

Lead Carpenter

Brian is Dick's son and Rick's brother. He graduated from Badin high school and came to work for the family business right out of high school. He left for about 10 years to go to Wyoming and raised his 4 kids there. Now he's back working for the business, using his unique experience building & remodeling homes in Jackson Hole back here in Ohio.

Luke Meyer

Job Superintendent

Luke is Joe's son and has been with the family business since 2008. He's married and currently has 2 kids, Simon & JoJo. He graduated from Finneytown High School and went to UC Raymond Walters College (now UC Blue Ash) and studied electronic media/applied science. Luke is one of our Job Superintendents, working in the field managing clients & subcontractors, ensuring each project gets done well & on time.

Joe Lemmink

Project Director

Joe has been in the construction industry since childhood, for his dad owned a commercial construction company. After graduating from Taylor High School, Joe attended Northern Kentucky University where he earned a bachelors degree in Construction Management. He came to our team from his father's business where he had extensive experience in estimation and project management. He is married and has two children.

Scott Hale

Lead Carpenter

Scott graduated from Ross High School, and has been in the woodworking and finish carpentry industry since. After being self employed for two years, he decided to be part of a larger team again. He is married and has two sons.

Andy Reichle

Shop finisher

Andy, or chief Reichle as he's affectionately referred, is proud to be a part of Meyer Brothers and Sons, working for the best family based company alongside the best craftsman and designers in the business. He's Joe's brother-in-law and Drew's father. He's retired navy and runs our finish shop just like he ran his ship: clean and tight!

Drew Reichle

Field painter

Drew is Joe's Neph-son and Andy's son. He graduated from Finneytown high school and went on to Cincinnati State to study automotive service management. He worked part time in the summers and then came on full time to Meyer Brothers and Sons in 2004. You'll find Drew meticulously & quietly painting in the field. He has 2 sweet girls...and he believes in Big foot.

Greg Tendam

Project Manager

Greg has been with Meyer Brothers and Sons for some time. He graduated from Hamilton high school and has been in the construction industry his entire life. If Greg is at your home as job superintendent, you'll see him nearly everyday. Clients have been known to miss seeing his face every morning and having him be a part of their daily lives. He has 4 kids and 4 grand kids.

Jacob Witteride

Carpenter

Jacob attended Diamond Oaks and graduated from the construction framing & finishing technologies department. A highlight of Jacob's education came when he placed 1st in the Regional Skills USA Carpentry Competition. He worked in the commerical construction world before coming to join our team.

Jesse Frazier

Project Designer

Originally from Southern California, Jesse moved to Ohio in 2017. With a degree in project management and a background in both residential and commercial construction, he brings a unique mix of design and field experience to Meyer brothers and sons. In his spare time he loves hanging out with his partner Amy and his daughter, Ilana. Musician, leatherworker, artist and writer, Jesse does a little bit of everything.

Zack Tripp

Field Painter

Zach is new to the team. He graduated from Colerain high school and has worked several service jobs since then. He's our versatile player and can be seen in the field one day demolishing a bathroom and the next finish painting a kitchen.

Robert Fugate

Carpenter

Robert graduated from Hamilton high school. While there he took part in the carpentry courses they offer in order to prepare students for the trades. After graduating he worked in the industry for several years before joining our team. He is married and has a niece that lives with them along with their 3 dogs, 2 cats and a bird.

Shawn Britton

Project Manager

Shawn resides in Batesville, Indiana, although was born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio and is a graduate of Miami University. After working for Miami for over ten years he decided to pursue creative passions in woodworking and attended a fine furniture school while working for a custom woodworking company in Cincinnati. Prior to joining the Meyer Brothers and Sons team he was co-owner of a company which focused on the full scope of design, build and remodeling of residential and some commercial projects. He is married and has two children. He continues to have a creative passion for woodworking along with running, triathlons, cycling and family travel into the mountains as much as possible.

Ernst Sauter

Project Manager

Joe "Ernst" Sauter is a Cincinnati native and graduate of Walnut Hills High School. Ernst and his wife have one daughter and he spends his free time fishing and hiking with their two dogs. He brings over 25 years of sales and business management experience including over 17 years in the concrete industry.

Johnny Seal

Carpenter

Johnny graduated from Oak Hills high school. He studied graphic design in college before realizing work in front of a computer wasn't for him. He began learning interior trim carpentry from working with his father until joining Meyer Brothers and Sons late 2022.

John Kennedy

Lead Carpenter

Raised in Phoenix, AZ, John enjoyed his youth playing in the desert, building ramps for his bmx bike. He started working construction as a 14 year old kid and never looked back. John enjoys working with his hands and meeting new people.

Ben Brashear

Carpenter

Ben has lived in Butler county his entire life and was homeschooled. He started framing houses when he was 15 years old and has worked for multiple companies in new construction, remodeling and commercial construction. Ben has a lovely wife and three handsome boys. His son Caleb is also on our team here at Meyer Brothers and Sons and has continued our tradition of being a team comprised of family, friends and neighbors. His hobbies include MMA training, rock climbing and camping.

Josh Allen

Project Manager

Raised in Cincinnati, Josh has been around woodworking and construction his entire life. Both his Grandfather and Dad were wood shop teachers at Taylor High School where he graduated from. Josh graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. He found his calling in construction after remodeling his home and working alongside his father-in-law Dan. He has extensive knowledge in marketing, sales, operations and project management within the residential construction industry. His wife is named Megan and they have two dogs named Finn and Elsa. He enjoys playing guitar, woodworking, boating and camping.

Caleb Helton

Carpenter

Caleb Helton was born and raised in Cold Springs, Kentucky where he graduated from Campbell County High School, but now lives in Harrison Ohio. He started in this industry in high school and has been a framer, cabinet-maker/installer, interior trim carpenter and furniture builder. He has spent his entire life in this industry and can’t imagine doing anything else. He has a wife, two kids, two dogs, and two cats, and loves hiking, hunting and being a dad.

Chris Congdon

Project Manager

Chris graduated from Ross High School in 2006 and has been working in the cabinetry & woodworking industry for 18 years and counting. He has been married for 11 years and loves to golf, bow hunt and spend as much time as he can with his wife and 5 kids.

Jeremiah Bowling

General Labor

Jeremiah is from Hamilton, Ohio and has have lived their his entire life. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 2023 and studied carpentry. He worked with Meyer Brother and Sons after school and has come on full-time after graduation. Outside of work he likes to hang out with his friends and occasionally read and write.
