Project Narrative

This residence was a classic late 1970ā€™s contemporary home in need of a complete remodel. The existing kitchen was the primary space that needed attention based on its dated aesthetics, dysfunction and converging circulation patterns. The design solution, created by Ryan Duebber architect, was established to simplify the room composition into a singular ā€œLā€ shape with a central island. This created new focal points and defined a clear flow through the space into the dining room. The large bay window and adjacent man door were removed to allow for the new configuration. Wider openings along with a new banquette style dining table allowed a generous passage through the dining area into the living room. Lastly, a simple yet elegant palette of materials was integrated into the design utilizing a mix of greens, neutrals, and wood tones to create subtle contrast to emphasize the new focal points in the kitchen.

Meyer Bros recently completed a full home renovation for me and did a beautiful job! They started with an older home with a constrictive floor plan and found creative solutions to make it open and updated. Our renovation included a new roof, plumbing and electrical updates, full kitchen, 2 full baths, new flooring throughout, and exterior paint. They were prompt, professional, and communicated with me every step of the way. I could not be happier with my new home!
